About Us::

Who are we::
  • Danville Area Soccer Association (DASA) is a not-for-profit corporation that sponsors and promotes soccer in Danville and Vermilion County Illinois. We run a recreational league for girls and boys from 4-14, and run a travel league (Danville United Soccer Club) for girls and boys of several ages including youth and older adolescents. About 1500 children play soccer with us. Our Danville Area Soccer Complex hosts hundreds of games each year for DSA, Central Illinois Youth Soccer, High Schools, Danville Area Community College, and many adult league games, pick-up games, and practices. We sponsor an annual spring sanctioned youth soccer tournament in April, The Clash at the Border.

What we do::

  • We encourage any interested child (aged 4-14) and family in our area to join our recreational league for the spring and fall seasons. Teams from communities throughout Vermilion County play in our league and are members of DSA. We run ourselves entirely with volunteers as coaches, referees, field maintenance helpers, concession helpers, and board members. We encourage parents and others to volunteer, provide training and direction for them, and welcome their participation. We use our modest fees to purchase uniforms and equipment, for maintenance of our facility, and the administration of the league.

  • Our Danville United Soccer club is the competitive traveling arm of the organization. These players are members of the Central Illinois Youth Soccer League. Anyone may try out for teams.

  • We built and maintain the Danville Area Soccer Complex on East Winter Avenue in Danville for our use, and for the use of other teams and individuals who play soccer in our area. There are eight full-size fields that are laid out for the need of our leagues, with age-appropriate field sizes. All fields are irrigated, and two have lights. We run a concession stand on game days, and have rest room facilities. Two pavilions may be used for picnics or shelter. Parking lots are ample, and some are paved.
